New DV Laws Training

Description:
This training is designed for attorneys and non-attorney advocates who work with domestic violence victims and want to know how legislation signed into law in 2017 and effective in 2018 will affect their work. The training explores laws going into effect that will directly impact your advocacy and the life of the survivor. The training will give you tools to help your clients ensure that they benefit from laws passed to provide them more support and protection.

Who Should Attend
We encourage attorneys, batter intervention program staff, child
welfare/child advocates, community advocacy organizations,
correction personnel, court personnel, faith-based organizations,
government agency staff, law enforcement officers, legal service
staff, mental health professionals, social service organizations,
domestic violence advocates, victim witness specialists and
family court mediators to attend.

Cancellation Policy:
Payment or guarantee of payment is due on week prior to your
scheduled training. A full refund, less a $10.00 processing fee,
will be given if cancellations are received a week in advance of
the training.
Participant substitutions are permitted with prior notification.
If participants cancel their registration after the deadline or
fail to attend, they or their organization will be billed the
full amount.
