Alyson Messenger is the Managing Staff Attorney of Jenesse Center, Inc.’s award-winning Legal Services Department. She oversees Jenesse’s In-House Legal Services Program whose major practice areas include family law and immigration, Jenesse Center’s Domestic Violence Clinic at the Inglewood Courthouse, and is responsible for administering and implementing Jenesse’s pro bono initiatives such as IMPACT LA (wrap-around legal services for victims and survivors of domestic violence) Unite For Families (family law pro bono clinic in partnership with Levitt & Quinn Family Law Center), and restorative justice legal clinics. Before joining Jenesse Center, Alyson was a prosecutor with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office specializing in family violence and sexual assault cases. A graduate of Claremont McKenna College and UCLA School of Law, Alyson is passionate about improving access to legal services for underserved victims and survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and other forms of trauma.
