Donate to the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence on May 3rd!

In California:
8.3 million are affected by intimate partner violence [1]
8.2% of 11th graders have experienced physical dating violence [2]

Be part of the solution: Donate to the largest network in the state dedicated to ending domestic violence.

The BIG Day of Giving is fast approaching! In just one week, the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence (the Partnership) will launch its first BIG Day of Giving campaign. A 24-hour online event, the Big Day of Giving is the most expansive project in the Sacramento region dedicated to raising funds for local nonprofits. And with prize challenges and incentive funds from corporate sponsors, your donation is stretched to maximize its impact. This year’s Big Day of Giving is poised to reach the largest goal yet for the Sacramento region’s nonprofit sector: $6M in 24 hours from 30,000 donors.

Your donation can help us end domestic violence in California.

With your support, we plan to:

  • Invest in events like Policy Advocacy Day—the largest gathering in our state dedicated to advancing bills that improve the lives of survivors and prevent domestic violence.
  • Build the capacity of California-based domestic violence advocates to serve a wide range of communities with effective prevention and intervention strategies.
  • Use media advocacy to get the attention of policy makers and individuals alike, promoting proven solutions that create the culture shift we need to end domestic violence.

Please help us meet these important objectives! Here’s how you can help on May 3rd:

1.) On May 3rd, make a donation (starting as small as $25) to the Partnership.

2.) Spread the word. Tell your friends, post on Facebook, and tweet about it. This is an opportunity to be part of something really big. Help us get there!

Sample Tweet/Post: I just donated to the California Partnership to End Domestic Violence for #BIGDoG2016. Join me: https://bigdayofgiving.org/npo/california-partnership-to-end-domestic-violence!

Your donation of any amount is an investment in California’s statewide movement to end domestic violence. Be part of the $6 million giving community and help us make this region—and our entire state—a place where domestic violence is replaced with respectful, equitable relationships.  Thank you in advance for your generosity!
