Share and hear from others about ways in which to integrate prevention into intervention programs and adapt prevention programs to meet the needs of the communities we serve during these challenging times.




Miranda Stiers (They/Them)
Capacity Building Program Specialist

Miranda began working in the movement to stop domestic violence and sexual assault fourteen years ago. During this time they have provided services for survivors, worked in collaboratives with county organizations, managed programs and provided domestic violence, sexual assault and LGBTQI inclusion trainings. As Program Specialist they provide technical assistance for the Domestic Violence Housing First Program grant recipients, and supports the Prevention Peer Network.

Alejandra Aguilar (She/Her)

Statewide Prevention Program Specialist

Alejandra is leading the Statewide Prevention Program at the Partnership, working to strengthen prevention efforts across California. For over 15 years, whether it be in her role as school counselor, advocate, or preventionist, Alejandra has developed culturally humble and trauma-informed prevention & education resources in both English & Spanish. Throughout her work, Alejandra has used her voice to speak up about the relationship between abuse and oppression, the interconnectedness of all social justice efforts, and the need for service providers to acknowledge the diversity of lived experiences, recognizing that there is no “one size fits all” strategy for prevention or intervention.
