Violence Prevention in the Military

March 23, 2023

Time: 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM

Price: Free

The military has its own culture, and a myriad of subcultures. There are also a lot of preconceived notions about those in or connected to the military. Here is a vulnerable population that should be included more in prevention, but how many of us are doing this work? Join us to hear a few different perspectives on interacting with military, veterans, and their families with the goal of violence prevention.

Guest Speakers:

  • Dominique Waltower (he/him), Inspire Perspective
  • Jonathan Deras (he/el), Center for Domestic Peace

  • Kimmie Remis, MSW (she/her); Prevention Specialist, Partnership

ASL interpreters will be present. Spoken language access is available upon request (please register by March 16th to ensure interpreter availability).

This webinar will be recorded. The recording and all resources will be available in the Resource Library by March 24th.
