Sex education has evolved over time and can look different from community to community. While many preventionists dedicate their time engaging youth through healthy relationships and consent education, we may not realize how this kind of education aligns with the comprehensive sex ed requirements set forth by the California Healthy Youth Act (CHYA). During this webinar, we will explore the ways in which some programs have adapted and expanded their violence prevention curricula to meet the needs of CHYA and why comprehensive sex ed benefits schools and the broader movement to prevent violence.
