Jeanne Spurr is the CEO at Empower Tehama, promoting healthy relationships and social change in Tehama County.
Empower Tehama provides a broad range of services for those impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking and child abuse. The Child Advocacy Center provides a place where children can participate in forensic interviews and all related services in a warm, trauma informed environment. Counseling, housing assistance, case management, education, and treatment for abusers and family members are provided in a holistic, “wraparound” style for improved outcomes.
Jeanne has been in local non-profit management since 1996 and is a Certified Grant Writer and Certified Professional Coach, both of which are utilized to build long-term sustainability. Prior to moving back to Northern California, Jeanne lived in Florida and the US Virgin Islands, where she owned businesses.
Jeanne’s passion is building effective, sustainable programs and helping others succeed. Jeanne is married, with two adult children and two granddaughters. “Nana” is her favorite job! She enjoys reading, appreciating the beauty of nature and walking on the beach. Most of all, she is passionate about creating safe, nurturing relationships and homes in Tehama County.
