While we often speak about the importance of bystander intervention, how familiar are we with the tenets of it. There are different types of bystanders. A bystander may choose to ignore the situation (i.e. passive bystanders), engage in the situation in a way that stops it (i.e. active bystanders), or engage in the situation in a way that exacerbates the situation (i.e. participants).

Join us this Thursday as we explore how your identities can shape your experience of violence and/or harassment, and the impact that has on your response when you see it.  We’ll also take a deep dive into strategies to be an active, empowered bystander. You’ll leave with new tools on how to respond to violence, whether your response is in the moment while that is happening, or long-term.
