Bring Domestic Violence Policy Priorities to Legislators: Virtual Policy Advocacy Day on May 3rd

We need voices from across the field in California at the Capitol — Join us on May 3rd! Register here.

Not a member? Apply to join our coalition!

Why Attend?

  1. Registration is now FREE for all Partnership members, their staff, Board members, community stakeholders, and program volunteers - To make this event as accessible and inclusive as possible to members and movement allies throughout the movement, we have waived all registration costs.
  2. Our voices go farther together - We invite each Partnership Member to help shape the future of California’s movement to end domestic violence. The voices of domestic violence advocates, preventionists, leaders and survivors will be heard virtually at the Capitol during Policy Advocacy Day!
  3. Let policy makers know what your organization needs - Don’t miss the opportunity to help make domestic violence program needs visible to policy makers and advocate for our collective policy priorities as a coalition. Read this testimonial from Asian Women’s Shelter on how Policy Advocacy Day directly impacted their programs:

"Asian Women’s Shelter is always excited to participate in Policy Advocacy Day. As a smaller organization we’re not able to keep up to date with constant policy changes, but every year we’ve enjoyed going to the state capitol in person or virtually! Last year we were so grateful to all the community members and the Partnership for advocating for the critical $100 million VOCA backfill funds that are essential to the continuation of our services to survivors. Because of this strong advocacy AWS did not have to make any cuts to our Shelter and Housing programs that continued to serve survivors through the past two years of the pandemic.”
