Collaborative Conversations with the Domestic Violence Field and Prosecutors

Event

Date: Jun 22, 2022

Time: 02:30 PM – 3:30 PM

Price: Free

Each survivors’ safety planning needs are unique, and for those who choose to engage with the criminal legal system, we must strive to make it as accessible, culturally responsive, trauma-informed and healing-centered as possible. To discuss how we can work better together to keep our communities safe and better support survivors, the Partnership would like to connect with prosecutors in California communities. Together, we’ll engage in a statewide series of collaborative conversations, which we envision as the beginning of developing an educational, inspirational and strategic partnership that can enable stronger yet flexible paths to safety and justice in our communities. We are seeking a wide range of roles and perspectives to join us. Please feel free to forward this invitation.

Who Should Join Collaborative Conversations with the Domestic Violence Field and Prosecutors:

  • Legal advocates, attorneys, specially-appointed advocates (tribal courts)
  • District Attorneys’ offices, Prosecutors, City Attorneys’ offices
  • Domestic violence advocates, preventionists, and community organizers
  • Abolitionists

All participants and the entire Partnership membership will receive a write-up with aggregated themes from each session. No identifying information will be shared.
