Executive Director, Strong Hearted Native Women’s Coalition, Inc
Germaine Omish-Lucero is a tribal citizen of the Rincon, Band of Luiseno Indians. She has two children and a stepson with her husband, tribal citizen of Taos Pueblo, New Mexico. Originally from California, Germaine lives in New Mexico and works remotely for her job in CA while traveling back and forth.
Germaine has been working and advocating the needs of Native victims for nearly 20 years. Since 2006, she has been the Executive Director for the Strong Hearted Native Women’s Coalition, Inc. The coalition was founded in 2005 to assist tribes in creating the appropriate tribal resolutions and identifying and mediating essential changes in tribal Nations to reduce crimes covered under the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA).
