For many the idea of serving “batterers” can seem like a risk at least that is how we felt at The Center when we started our Batterers Intervention Program: Positive Solutions. Now over 25 years later we would like to share how this program has improved our ability to serve victims, changed how we view domestic violence, and changed how the community views our agency. We hope to help overcome some of the fears about serving those who abuse. For us we had to answer the question, how can we end domestic violence if we don’t help those who abuse?
