The California Partnership is pleased to announce publication of our 2011 Annual Report. The Partnership relies on a statewide network of legislators, donors, supporters and advocates to ensure that we can continue to serve the needs of domestic violence victims and survivors. Our Annual Report contains important information about the positive impact the Partnership has had statewide, including our many legislative victories, funding initiatives and member support activities. On January 10th, AB 593, (the “Sin by Silence Bill”), concerning the rights of incarcerated battered women, passed the California Public Safety Committee with a unanimous vote of YES! For more information click here.  To learn more about AB 593, check out this FACT SHEET.
 

New Amicus Brief Available for Review

The Partnership has signed on to an amicus brief filed last week concerning the case of McRoberts vs. The Superior Courts of Los Angeles County. The brief concerns a case in which custody was transferred from one parent to the other, despite evidence of sexual abuse of two of the children.
